JACKSON, Miss. - Union nearly overcame a 20-point deficit, but a wild and crazy finish preserved a 20-14 victory for host Belhaven (Miss.) on Saturday in Mid-South Conference West play.
Heading into the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs (2-6 overall, 1-2 MSC West) trailed 20-0. A 23- and 4-yard passes to Sterlin James (Citra, Fla.) moved the ball to the Blazer 17. After an incomplete pass, Deandre Wood intercepted the ball in the end zone and downed it at the Belhaven 1 with 22 seconds remaining.
