BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union has the Brass Lantern, but now it wants the Golden Can. And it needs your help to get it.

Union is competing against a number of other colleges and universities to see which institution can collect the most canned food items for local food pantries. Among the other schools participating are Cumberlands (Ky.) and Eastern Kentucky.

The school which collects the most cans will win the Golden Can, which would look great right beside the Brass Lantern the Bulldog football team recently brought back home with its 24-19 win over Cumberlands.

To help win the prize and help All fans who donate at least two (2) canned food items at Saturday's football game against Cumberland (Tenn.) will receive free admission. The regular admission price is $5.

All donated canned food items collected will be given to the Christian Life Food Pantry in Barbourville.

Game time is set for 12 p.m. Saturday.
