DAYTON, Tenn. - The title will have to wait for another day. Union was unable to wrap up the Appalachian Athletic Conference regular-season championship as host Bryan handed the Lady Bulldogs a 3-1 loss Friday.

Union (16-15 overall, 13-2 overall) can secure the title Saturday when it plays its final match of the regular season at Reinhardt (Ga.). Match time is set for 1 p.m.

The Lady Lions (19-17 overall, 13-3 overall) won the opening set 25-18 but Union rallied back for a 25-15 win in the second set to even the match. However, Bryan posted 25-21 and 25-17 decisions in the third and fourth frames to lock up the win.

The conference loss was the first for Union since Sept. 16, snapping the Lady Bulldogs' 11-match conference winning streak.

Lauren McMillan (Corbin, Ky.), Karina Ramos (Presidente Prudente, Brazil) and Amelia Cantrell (Georgetown, Ky.) all had nine kills to lead Union with Ramos also recording two service aces and two block assists. Kalia Yasak (Kula, Hawaii) recorded 40 assists.
