In the second half, Reinhardt continued to dominate the pace of play, and took a 2-0 lead in the 66th minute on Barikos' second goal,. The score, which was the eventual game-winner, gave the Lady Eagles a 2-0 lead.
Union did not quit, however, as they cut the lead in half in the 73rd minute when freshman Helen Weber
(Marburg, Germany) scored unassisted. The goal, which was the 12th of the year for Weber, cut the Reinhardt lead down to a goal.
The rest of the way, the Lady Eagles took back the momentum, and hung on over the final 17 minutes to take the one-score win to move on to the AAC Tournament Championship match.
Overall, Reinhardt outshot Union 23-7 overall in the match, and held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks. Burton was impressive all net in between the pipes in the losing effort, making eight saves overall on the night.
