KETTERING, Ohio - The Union bowling teams competed in the Raider Classic in Kettering, Ohio, and both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs posted 21st-place finishes.
The Bulldogs recorded a team score of 6991 to land 21st. Joey Davenport led the way with a total pin fall of 887 to place him 57th individual. He also scored the second-highest game in program history with a 265.
Jonathan Courtney and Michael Davenport finished 62nd and and 63rd with scores of 851 and 843, respectively, and Matt Francis was 93rd with a 654. Will Sanderson helped out with a 553.
The Lady Bulldogs tallied a total pin fall of 6338 to come in 21st. Hannah Roberts set the tone with an 897 to finish 27th overall, while Christy King bowled an 890 to place 29th. Kayleen Hiatt scored an 825 for 52nd, and Shawna Ivey and Juleda Hyde helped out with scores of 545 and 457, respectively.
Union returns to the lanes January 28 when it hosts the Bulldog Classic in Somerset, Ky.
