BARBOURVILLE, Ky. Senior Brandon Kibert was selected as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced Friday. This marks the third time he has received this award.

Kibert, from Tazewell, Tenn., receives his second straight NAIA Cross Country Scholar-Athlete. He also collected the same honor at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship this past spring. Kibert will participate in his first NAIA Cross Country National Championship Saturday morning, and is his second NAIA National Championship appearance. He owns the Union cross country record with a time of 26 minutes and nine seconds.

To be selected as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must be a minimum of a junior in academic standing and have at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
