
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Junior standout Kandy Hubbard was selected as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced Friday. She is the first Lady Bulldog Cross Country athlete to receive the award in the modern era.
Hubbard, from Hinkle, Ky., made her mark in her first season at Union. She broke the school record four times and ended the season with the record at 21 minutes and 48 seconds.
To be selected as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must be a minimum of a junior in academic standing and have at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
