Game One
In game one, the Lady Bulldogs leaped out to a big lead after two innings, then hung on down the stretch to collect a conference victory.

After Bryan scored a lone run in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead, the Lady Bulldogs answered with three runs in the bottom half to take a 3-1 lead. Leighanna Brett had the first RBI hit of the inning on a single, while Gina Loflin had an RBI double. Aryssa Puckett rounded things out with an RBI on a sacrifice fly.

UC then notched two more runs in the bottom of the second to take a 5-1 lead after two. After a Brooklyn Hesterberg walk, Ashley Wojnowski smacked an RBI triple down the left field line, scoring Hesterberg all the way from first. Wojnowski then scored from third on a wild pitch later in the inning to give the Lady Bulldogs a four-run lead after two.

Bryan, however, fought back, scoring three runs in the top of the third to cut the deficit down to 5-4. UC added another run in the bottom of the fourth to go up 6-4, with Whitley Cochran scoring on another BC wild pitch. But, Bryan came right back in the top of the fifth, scoring a run to cut the deficit back down to a run at 6-5.

Union, however, scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to finally put Bryan away, going up by four. Hesterberg scored the first run on another Bryan wild pitch, while Loflin had an RBI ground out, and Abby Sears had a RBI sac fly to round out the scoring.

In the pitching circle, Rachel Cogdill, who came into the game in the sixth, retired Bryan in order in the top of the seventh to clinch the victory for the Lady Bulldogs.

Overall, Brett led the way at the dish in game one, going 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Puckett was 2-for-2 with an RBI, while Wojnowski was 1-for-2 with an RBI, three runs scored, and a walk.

Game Two
In game two, Bryan jumped out to a big lead, and a late UC rally fell short, as the Lady Lions won by three to earn the split.

Through four and a half innings, it was all Bryan, as they had a 6-0 lead going into the bottom of the fifth. The Lady Bulldogs were unable to muster much of anything against Bryan starter Amber Love, and finally cracked the scoreboard in the fifth, as Cameron Campbell had an RBI single.

Bryan added another run in the top of the sixth to go up 7-1, but UC made a rally at the lead in the bottom half, scoring four runs, all with two outs. The rally cut the Bryan lead down to 7-5 going into the seventh.

In the seventh, however, Bryan added a run in the top half to go up by three. In the bottom half, Love retired the Lady Bulldogs in order to clinch the victory for the Lady Lions.

Overall in the second game, Puckett was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, while Campbell, Sears, and Jamie Cyrus all had RBI hits. The last RBI was recorded by pinch hitter Courtney Woods in the sixth.
