BARBOURVILLE, Ky. --
Union College men's soccer coach Tyler Brock
has announced that Ashton Johnson, a native of Louisville, Ky., has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the UC men's soccer team this fall.
Johnson, who plans to play in the midfield for the Bulldogs, prepped at St. Xavier High School, while clubbing with United F.C.
"I have known Ashton for a while now, as he played for me with the Kentucky ODP program a few years ago," said Brock. "He has been playing at a very high standard for a few years now. He will bring some height into the midfield and he is a technically and tactically sound player.
"We are very excited to have Ashton joining our program, and I'm anxious to see how he matures over the 4 years here at Union."
The Bulldogs, members of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference, finished last season with a 10-7-2 overall mark.
