BARBOURVILLE, Ky. --
The Union College softball program has announced that Morgan Johnson, a native of Kennesaw, Ga., has signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Lady Bulldog program next season.
Johnson, a pitcher, prepped at North Cobb High School in Kennesaw. There, she pitched for the girls softball team for four years, setting school records in both single season and carreer saves.
In all, North Cobb won 87 games in the four years Johnson was a member of the team, culiminating in her senior season in which she led the team to a spot in the Georgia State Five-A Elite Eight Championships. The team finished the year 27-15 overall, and was ranked fifth in the state by the end of the season.
Last season, Union, a member of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), finished 27-17 overall.
