BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Union College men’s golf team will begin the 2008 season as the No. 2 team in the Region XII rankings, the organization announced.

Union was placed second, behind Tennessee Wesleyan College. Milligan (Tenn.) College, UVa-Wise and Covenant (Ga.) College are third through fifth, respectively. All five teams ranked are from the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

The Bulldogs finished fifth in the region tournament last season and fourth in the AAC which was held in April.

The spring season begins with the Union College Bulldog Invitational contested at Wasioto Winds Golf Course. The two-day event starts on March 3.
