BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The trio of Kristina Kirk, Eden Ellison and Kelli Rogers are a part of all five of Union College’s top 20 NAIA relay teams, announced by the organization Wednesday.

Kirk (Versailles, Ky.), Ellison (Tamms, Ill.) and Rogers (Elizabethtown, Ky.) and Mollie Messmer (Scott City, Mo.) own the ninth-best time in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of nine minutes and 27.93 seconds. The ninth-place ranking is the best for any Union relay team at this point of the season.

The same four Lady Bulldogs also own top-20 times in three other events. Their best ranking is in the 400 medley relay, the 16th best time nationally at 4:49.19. They rank 18th in the 200 freestyle relay after they posted a time of 1:53.05. Their time of time of 2:06.35 in the 200 medley relay is 19th best nationally.

In the 400 freestyle relay, Dena Gonzalez (Brooklyn, N.Y.) joined Kirk, Ellison and Rogers to qualify with a time of 4:30.32 which ranks 18th.

Next for Union is the two-day Centre College Invitational set to begin on Jan. 11.
