LEBANON, Tenn. - Cumberland (Tenn.) scored five goals in the first half, on their way to a convincing 8-2 victory over the Union College women's soccer team on Wednesday in NAIA action.

With the loss, Union fell to 6-3-1 on the year, while Cumberland, who is receiving votes in the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches Poll, went to 9-2 on the year with the win. 

In the first half, Cumberland took control of the match right from the opening kick, scoring their first goal in the 13th minute to go up 1-0. Forward Kelsey Langille proceeded to put the game out of UC's reach, scoring three straight goals in the 14th, 17th, and 29th minutes to put Cumberland up 4-0.

Cumberland finished up with half with another goal in the 34th minute to go up 5-0 at the break. In the second half, UC finally got on the scoreboard in the 52nd minute, as Hayley Fox scored off a rebound to make it 5-1. The goal was the first of Fox's collegiate career.

However, Cumberland came right back with another goal by Langille 11 seconds later to go up 6-1, and added another goal in the 72nd minute to go up 7-1. Cumberland added their final score of the match in the 77th minute to go up 8-1. 

The final goal of the match was scored by the Lady Bulldogs, as Aline Dalmedico added a goal in the 84th minute, unassisted. The goal was the seventh of the season for the sophomore.  

Overall, Cumberland outshot Union by wide 33-11 margin, and held a 3-1 edge on corner kicks. 

The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, hosting Point (Ga.) in AAC action at Burch/Nau Field. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
