BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College men's basketball team returns home Wednesday evening, hosting St. Andrews (N.C.) in the squad's 2012-13 Appalachian Athletic Conference season opener. Tip-off at Robsion Arena is set for 7:30 p.m.

Union, 4-4 overall on the season, comes into tomorrow night's game off a 104-74 loss at Cumberlands (Ky.) this past Saturday. Guard Matthew Thomas led UC in the defeat, scoring 16 points. The home game for the Bulldogs Wednesday will be their last for over a month, as the team will embark on a seven-game road trip that will extend early in the month of January.

St. Andrews will be making history on the night, as the team plays their first AAC men's basketball game after joining the league this past July. The Knights are currently 0-6 on the season, and fell in their last game to NCAA Division II member UNC-Pembroke, 106-59.
