BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Seeking to bolster the endurance side of the roster, Union College swim coach Rafael Forti signed Colin McEachran of Blenheim, Ontario, whose background includes triathlons and swimming for the Chatham Y Pool Sharks.

“Colin will bring more depth to our men’s long distance staff. He possesses great resistance and overall physical conditioning,” Forti said.

The Bulldogs were strong in both relay events and sprint distances but another endurance swimmer could strengthen the Bulldogs.

“I see Colin being very important to us for events like the 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyle,” Forti said. “His transition from open waters to the swimming pool will not be hard, and I have no doubts he will make an impact right away.”

The Bulldogs posted a 12-4 overall record during the regular season and placed 11th at the NAIA Championship Meet.
