BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College men's basketball team plays its final road game of the 2012-13 regular season on Wednesday evening, traveling to AAC rival Milligan. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs (11-13, 5-8 AAC) come into Wednesday's game off a big win at home verses Virginia Intermont on Saturday, 72-50. In the victory, forward Archie Adams led the way, scoring a game-high 21 points, as the Union defense held VI to just 28 percent shooting from the floor on the night.
Milligan (17-9, 9-4 AAC) comes into Wednesday's game reeling a bit, as the Buffaloes have lost two straight. On Saturday at Bryan, the host Lions used a second half surge to beat the Buffaloes, 71-67.
In the first match-up of the season between the schools on Jan. 10,, Milligan used a big second half to pull away from Union in an 81-56 victory. Milligan's Torian Sitton led all scorers with 27 points, as the Buffaloes outscored the Bulldogs 48-24 in the second half to coast down the stretch.
