BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College head men's swimming coach Rafael Forti has announced that Dalton Baxter has signed his National Letter of Intent and will join the Bulldog Program this fall.

Baxter, a native of Woodstock, Ga., plans to swim both short and long distance freestyle events.

"I am glad Dalton has decided to continue his academic and swimming careers at Union," said head coach Forti. "He possesses a good background in competitive swimming and still presents a great potential to be explored. He will add much needed depth to our distance freestyle events."

Baxter has prepped at Woodstock High School in his native Georgia, while being a member of the Chattahoochee Gold swim club. He has made the All-State team in swimming for the last three years, and the All-County team the past two seasons. Baxter also broke a 17-18 age group record in the 1650-free during his career, as well.

Baxter, the son of Derrick and Kathleen Baxter, plans to major in Athletic Training at Union College.
