PINEVILLE, Ky. - The Union women's golf team finished third in the Bulldog Spring Invitational, posting a two-day score of 696.

The tournament was held at Wasioto Winds Golf Course in Pineville, Ky.

SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) won the event with a total tally of 642, and Tennessee Wesleyan finished second at 680. Milligan (Tenn.) was fourth at 698, while Bryan (Tenn.) and Campbellsville (Ky.) tied for fifth at 708. Rounding out the nine-team field are St. Andrews (N.C.) in seventh at 711, Reinhardt (Ga.) in eighth at 715 and Columbia (S.C.) in ninth at 726.

Sydney Smith (Greensburg, Ky.) led Union with an eighth-place finish, firing a 162. Brittany Zins (Cincinnati, Ohio) was next in line for the Lady Bulldogs as she tied for 19th with a 173.

Ashley Madden of SCAD Atlanta took top individual honors with a 157.

Union returns to action on April 22-23 at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship Tournament in Greeneville, Tenn.
