BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Union College Bulldogs are among the Appalachian Athletic Conference’s top performers in nine categories and three individual Bulldogs are in the Top-10 of six statistical categories according to the NAIA-DakStats website.

Sophomore Aaron Dunaway (Lexington, Ky.) has made his mark nationally as well. He ranks as the nation's tenth best free-throw shooter with an 88.1 percentage, the best in the AAC.

Dunaway owns the conference's sixth-best scoring average at 14.95 points per game; No. 8 in field-goal percentage (.432) and No. 10 in 3-point field goals made (1.76).

Two more Bulldogs rank among the conference's best.

  • Hubertus von Heydon (Neulengbach, Austria) is sixth in blocks per game (0.81);
  • Brian Kirk (Augusta, Ky.) ranks No. 9 in steals per game (1.65).

The team also ranks among the conference’s Top-5 in the following categories:

  • No. 2 in Field-Goal Percentage (.477);
  • No. 3 in Field Goal Percentage Defense (.447);
  • No. 3 in Blocks (3.57);
  • No. 4 in Steals (8.19);
  • No. 4 in Free-Throw Percentage (.689);
  • No. 5 in Scoring Defense (72.43);
  • No. 5 in Scoring Margin (+1.05);
  • No. 5 in Defensive Rebounds (23.57);
  • No. 5 in Rebound Margin (+1.57).

The Bulldogs own an overall record of 14-7 with a 4-5 conference mark. Union is one game out of a tie for third place half way through the conference season.

Union will travel to No. 20 King (Tenn.) College Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. AAC tilt. King took the first meeting 67-45 on Nov. 27.
