BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union head women's golf coach Eric Wyrick recently announced the signing of Haley Ingram of Owensboro, Ky., for the 2013-14 Lady Bulldog roster.

A member of the Owensboro Catholic High School Lady Aces golf team since her eighth-grade year, Ingram helped the program to two region championships and four KHSAA State Championship Tournament appearances.

"As a coach you get to meet some special young people, and Haley is certainly one of them," said Wyrick. "Not only has she been a solid player and a great student, but she has been a tremendous community leader. I have no doubt that she will help our team from day one on the course, but will also become a leader to her teammates. Her involvement in organizations like the First Tee has truly prepared her to succeed in college and have prepped her to be a great person. I am very excited to get to work with Haley and help her with her game. She is a hard worker and will certainly help our team be better in the years to come."

Ingram participated in the Greater Owensboro Junior Golf Tournament Series and finished as the individual runner-up for the series in 2010 and 2011.

A member of the First Tee of Owensboro since 2004, Ingram is a Class of 2013 National First Tee Scholar. She has attended golf training and leadership camps such as The First Tee/Hank Haney Leadership and Training Camp in Hilton Head, the First Tee/Toro/Disney Leadership Conference, and assisted with the Children's Miracle Classic Golf Tournament in Orlando.

Union placed sixth at the AAC Tournament Championship this past season.
