BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College head men's soccer coach Tyler Brock has announced yet another addition to the Bulldogs' 2013 recruiting class, as George Carroll has signed his National Letter of Intent to join the program in time for 2013 preseason practices later this summer.

Carroll, a native of Chester, Cheshire, England, looks to play a variety of positions for the Bulldogs.

"George is very composed on the ball and give gives us a lot of options on the pitch," said Brock. "I really think he is a going to come in first as a utility player that we are going to look at in a few different positions, and hopefully he will be able to settle into one of spots and we can start to work him out from there.

"I think he is going to have opportunities to play early for us so I am excited to see where he lands on the squad."

Carroll prepped at The Catholic High School in his native Chester, playing on a school team that reached the finals of the District Cup in back-to-back seasons. He is currently clubbing with the successful Vicars Cross Dynamos, a squad that won League and Cup Championships last season during an undefeated campaign. Carroll has also clubbed with Chester City during his career, as well.

Carroll plans to major in international business at Union College.

The Bulldogs kick-off their 2013 season on Aug. 30, hosting Emmanuel (Ga.) as part of the 2013 Thomas Trammel Memorial Classic.
