BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College women's soccer coach Camila Mendes and men's soccer coach Tyler Brock recently released the 2013 schedules for their respective programs.
The Lady Bulldog women's team, led by Mendes, who is entering her third season at the helm of the program, will look to improve upon a 11-6-1 overall mark a season ago, and a 6-2-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
Union kicks off their 2013 slate on Aug. 28, visiting Campbellsville (Ky.) in a non-conference clash, before opening their 2013 home schedule a few days later on Aug. 31, hosting Georgetown (Ky.) at Burch/Nau Field.
Following a pair of nonconference games in the State of Ohio at Rio Grande and Mount Vernon Nazarene on Sept. 6 and 7, respectively, the Lady Bulldogs return home to Burch/Nau field on Sept. 10 to open their 2013 AAC slate with a contest against Truett McConnell (Ga.), the conference's newest member.
The rest of the Lady Bulldogs' 2013 slate sees the team face-off with their usual AAC rivals, with home contests against Reinhardt (Ga.) on Sept. 14, Milligan (Tenn.) on Sept. 28, Montreat (N.C.) on Oct. 9, and St. Andrews (N.C.) on Oct. 26, which will be the squad's annual Senior Day. The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Columbia (S.C.) (Sept. 21), Virginia Intermont (Oct. 2), Tennessee Wesleyan (Oct. 19), Point (Ga.) (Oct. 22), and Bryan (Tenn.) (Nov. 2), which is the team's 2013 regular season finale.
In between these conference tilts, Union will entertain out-of-conference foes St. Catherine (Ky.) (Sept. 24) and Cumberlands (Ky.) (Oct. 12) at home, and travel to Pittsburgh, Pa. for their final non-conference match at Carlow on Oct. 16.

The Bulldog men's soccer team, led by Brock who is entering his 11th season as Union's head coach, will look to build upon last season's 7-9-2 season with one of the youngest teams in the AAC.
Union opens their 2013 slate on Aug. 30, hosting the inaugural Thomas Trammel Memorial Classic at Burch/Nau Field, honoring the former Bulldog defender (2003-06) who tragically passed away last September. In the Classic, the Bulldogs will play Emmanuel (Ga.) on the 30th, then host Southern Poly (Ga.) to close things out on Aug. 31.
Following out-of-conference home matches with Brescia (Ky.) on Sept. 4 and Cumberland (Tenn.) on Sept. 7, the Bulldogs open AAC play against Truett-McConnell on Sept. 10. Union ends a string of six straight matches at home to start the year on Sept. 14, hosting Reinhardt (Ga.) in an AAC tilt.
Following a conference tilt at Bryan (Tenn.) on Sept. 18, the Bulldogs go out-of-conference once again, traveling to Georgia Gwinnett on Sept. 21 and Berea (Ky.) on Sept. 25, before returning home on Sept. 28 to host AAC-foe Milligan (Tenn.).
After an AAC road contest at Virginia Intermont on Oct. 2, the Bulldogs play three straight non-conference matches, two of which will be at home. On Oct. 5, Union hosts Asbury (Ky.) in the squad's annual Homecoming match, followed up by a home match with rival Cumberlands (Ky.) on Oct. 12. Union ends their non-conference slate with a matchup at King (Tenn.) on Oct. 15.
Union ends the season with four straight AAC matches, beginning with road tilts at Tennessee Wesleyan (Oct. 19) and Point (Oct. 22). The Bulldogs end their 2013 regular season campaign hosting St. Andrews (Oct. 26) and Montreat (Nov. 2).
