BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union head bowling coach Chelsea Gilliam recently announced the addition of seven student-athletes. The Bulldogs add four to the 2013-14 roster, while the Lady Bulldogs signed three for the upcoming campaign.
"We have a great group of student-athletes coming in, and I feel they will have a great impact on both the men's and women's bowling programs," said Gilliam. "I am excited to see how this group works together with our returners to help both programs succeed during the upcoming season."
Joining the Bulldogs are Michael Ingram, Jorge Jackson, Luke Starkey and Jonathan West. All four will be incoming freshmen. Ingram hails from Memphis, Tenn., and is a graduate of Fairley High School. Jackson graduated from Paris High School in Paris, Ky., while Starkey is from Gallatin, Tenn., and attended Gallatin High School. West is a native of Artemus, Ky.
The Lady Bulldogs welcome Marissa Campbell, Amanda Lovitt and Kylee Saunders to the roster. Campbell is a sophomore transfer, coming to Union from Alabama A&M. She calls Brighton, Mich., home. Lovitt is a freshman from Williamsburg, Ky., and a graduate of Knox Central High. Saunders graduated from Soddy Daisy High School and hails from Hixson, Tenn.
The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs compete in the Mid-South Conference. The 2013-14 season will get underway in mid- to-late fall.
