LONDON, Ky. - The Union men's golf team is fifth with the women's team sitting in sixth at the Bill Sergent Invitational at Crooked Creek Golf Club in London, Ky.

The tournament is hosted by University of the Cumberlands (Ky.).

The Bulldogs fired a 301 to place them fifth out of a field of 11 teams. Host Cumberlands leads with a 290, which is 2-over par.

Individually, Garrett Bradley leads the way for Union with a 1-under 71 to place him in a tie for third overall. Simon Taylor is next in line with a 2-over 74, which is good enough for 13th. Alasdair Ross is tied for 17th overall with a 3-over 75.

The Lady Bulldogs posted a 333 team score to put them sixth out of nine squads. Host Cumberlands leads the way at 301, which is 21 strokes better than second-place SCAD-Atlanta.

Sydney Smith leads Union with a 5-over 77 to put her seventh overall. Brittany Zins is a little back of her at 83 in 21st. Rounding out the top three for Union is Danielle Judd, who is in 26th at 84.

The teams will play the second round on Tuesday.
