ROME, Ga. - The Union College men's golf team sits in a tie for 10th place overall after the first round of the 2013 Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational at the par 72 Coosa Country Club. As a team, the Bulldogs posted a combined scored of 302 (+14) on the day.
Individually, senior Garrett Bradley fired the low round of the day for Union, finishing with a 73 (+1) to put himself in a tie for 17th on the leaderboard. Just behind Bradley in a tie for 26th is freshman Andy Dusek, who posted a two-over score of 74 on the first day of action.
Elsewhere, senior Tim Cooper posted a first round score of 77 (+5) and finds himself in a tie for 59th overall, Alasdair Ross shot a 78 (+6) to place in a tie for 73rd, and Thomas Scott finished the first day of action with a 79 (+7) to place in a tie for 87th overall. Simon Taylor rounded out the Union players on the day, posting a first round score of 80 (+8).
Overall, William Carey's (Miss.) Keaton Stamps leads the overall race after day one after firing a 66 (-6), while on the team end, Oglethorpe (Ga.) leads the way after posting a combined score of 285 (-3) on day one.
