MONTREAT, N.C. - The Union volleyball team overcame a huge deficit to pull out a 3-2, Appalachian Athletic Conference victory at Montreat (N.C.) on Tuesday.
Union dropped the first two sets 25-16 and 25-20 before rallying to win the final three frames by the scores of 25-20, 25-17 and 15-12.

The Lady Cavaliers came out strong and dominated the first set, posting a nine-point win. Montreat continued its strong play in the second set, but Union began to fight back. However, the surge was too late, too little to win the set as Montreat held on for the 25-20 decision.
In the third set, the Bulldogs began rolling and posted 25-20 win before taking the fourth frame 25-17. Union trailed 6-2 in the fifth and final set, prompting Wise to call a timeout. The Bulldog regrouped and stormed back, taking the set 15-12 and match 3-2.
