GRAYSON, Ky. - The Union volleyball team returned to its winning ways with a 3-1, road victory over Kentucky Christian on Saturday.
With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 15-6 overall. Kentucky Christian is 17-5 now.
The Lady Knights took the early advantage by winning the first set 25-23. However, Union got on a roll and won the the next three sets 25-20, 25-19, 25-22 to claim the 3-1 decision.
Paige Moore led Union with 16 kills with Caity Merritt following with 15. Alexis Means and Karina Ramos helped out with 13 and six kills. Heather Fields recorded 52 assists, while Ana Calaza had 19 digs.
This was Fields' third 50-plus assist outing. She recently went over the 1,000-assist mark for her career as she currently has 1,151.
Union returns to action on Tuesday when it plays host to Tennessee Wesleyan. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. This is also Union's 'Think Pink' game.
