BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Union men's bowling team finished sixth at the Southern Kentucky Collegiate Classic, posting a pinfall of 6,826 over the weekend.
Following Saturday's opening round, the Bulldogs sat in fourth place with a score of 4,787. However, Union slipped up a little and fell to sixth, falling 113 back of fifth-place Campbellsville (Ky.).
Louisville (Ky.) won the event at 7.765 with Cumberland (Tenn.) a distant second at 7,205. Victory (Tenn.) was third at 6,998, and Cumberlands (Ky.) took fourth at 6,948. In all, there were 10 varsity programs at the classic.
Ryan Racimo paced the Bulldogs with a sixth-place individual finish. Racimo talled a score of 1,060 with a single-best game of 267. He also had two over games over 200 at 208 and 222. Jonathan Courtney finished 17th with a total pinfall of 977. His best game topped out at 253. Coming in 20th was Micahel Ingram, who tallied a 954 and rolled a pair of 200 games at 203 and 215. Lucas Starkey also had a 200 game, rolling 210 in amassing a total pinfall for 917 for 28th place. Jordan Franks rounded Union's scoring with an 879 to place him 31st overall.
Next up for Union is the Striking Knights Classic in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 16-17.
