BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Marissa Campbell earned a spot on the All-Tournament in helping the Union women's bowling team to a fourth-place showing at the Southern Kentucky Collegiate Classic over the weekend.
Campbell posted three games over 200 in posting a total score of 992 to place fourth overall individually. Her best game topped out at 221 with other games at 215 and 206.
As a team, the Bulldogs finished play on Saturday in fifth but was only 77 back of Campbellsville (Ky.). But Union rallied on Sunday and finished 11 pins better than Campbellsville at 6,260-6,249.
Pikeville (Ky.) won the event with a score of 6,975 as Victory (Tenn.) took second at 6,911. Cumberlands (Ky.) came in third at 6,406. In all, there were eight varsity teams competing.
After Campbell, Union was led by Kimberly Alexander, who rolled a total score of 824.
Up next for Union is the Raider Classic in Kettering, Ohio, on Nov. 9-10.
