BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union swept the Appalachian Athletic Conference volleyball weekly awards with Paige Moore taking top honors as the AAC Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
The Bulldogs went 4-0 last week as all four victories were within the conference. The biggest victory of the week was a 3-2 decision of Bryan (Tenn.), which was undefeated heading into the match.
Moore hammered home 60 kills on the week, averaging 3.75 kills per set and registering a .396 hitting percentage. She also recorded 16 digs, four block assists and two service aces.
For the season, Moore leads the team with 387 kills and sports a .289 hitting percentage.
Calaza earns the weekly libero honor for the seventh time this season. Last week, she averaged 5.88 digs per set and had seven aces. On the year, she has 648 digs on the season and 21 aces.
This is Fields first weekly award. She 9.13 assists on the week, had two 40-plus assist games last week to go with 10 aces. For the season, she has 904 assists and 43 aces.
Union is 23-7 overall and 16-3 in conference play.
