WEST POINT, Ga. - The Union volleyball team wrapped up the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament with a 3-0 sweep of host Point (Ga.) on Saturday.

The Bulldogs had little problem in disposing of Point, winning 25-13, 25-12, 25-8. Union posted a team hitting percentage of .446 as it pounded 48 kills with only 11 errors in 83 attacks.
Paige Moore led Union with 18 kills with Caity Merritt adding 11. Heather Fields finished with 31 assists.
By the Numbers
- This marked the 20th time this season Moore and Merritt have posted double-digit kills in the same match.
- Fields is 21 assists away from recording 1,000 this season. She would be only the third Lady Bulldog to reach the milestone, joining Amanda Bowling and Monica Moreland, both of whom accomplished the feat multiple times.
Union will play in the AAC Tourament as the No. 2 seed at 1 p.m. on Thursday. The tournament is being held at the MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort and Convention Center in Kingsport, Tenn. The complete bracket will be released by the league on Sunday.
