KETTERING, Ohio - The Union women's bowling team posted a 12th-place finish at the Raider Classic over the weekend. The tournament was hosted by Wright State (Ohio).
Union tallied a total pinfall of 8,108, putting it 127 back of No. 11 Campbellsville (Ky.) and 73 ahead of No. 13 Indiana Tech.
Host Wright State won the 19-team tournament, edging Pikeville (Ky.) 464-431 in the championship round.
Kimberly Alexander led the Bulldogs with a 16th-place showing, tallying a total pinfall of 1,035. She posted three games of over 200 with a team-best 269. Next in line for Union was Marissa Campbell, who rolled four 200-plus games for a total of 1,008. Her best game was a 224. Katelynn George rolled an 889 for Union with her best game checking in at 234.
Pikeville's Astrid Valiente took top individual honors with an 1,169.
The Bulldogs' next event is not until Jan. 25 when Union hosts the Bulldog Classic in Richmond, Ky.
