BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Several members of the Union College men's and women's swimming teams remain highly ranked in the latest Appalachian Swimming & Diving top times list, which was released by the league earlier this week.
On the men's side, the Bulldog 200-medley team sits third in the conference with a time of 1:38.16, while the 800-free relay squad also sits in third in the league at 7:36.22.
Individually, Bradley Moore still leads the league in the 500-free (4:44.99), and is fourth in the 200-free (1:46.32). Dalton Baxter is third in the 1000-free (10:08.82), Vinicius Rossi is fourth in the 200-breast (2:13.78), and Jose Jesus Morales is fourth in two events - the 200-fly (2:01.08) and 400-IM (4:19.37).
For the women, the Bulldog 200-medley relay squad currently has the second best mark in the conference at 1:51.59. They've also posted the third best time in the 800-free relay (8:26.25) and fifth best in the 400-free relay (3:53.42).
Individually, Callie Harrigan still leads the way in 200-free (1:58.71), is second in the 100-free (54.35), and third in the 200-back (2:14.96). Meanwhile, Kasey McCormick is third in the 200-breast (2:33.36) and fifth in both the 400-IM (4:58.61) and 100-breast (1:11.96), and Eliska Melicharova is third in the 100-back (1:01.58). Anna Kotliarova rounds out the top performances for the women's team, as she sits in fifth in the 200-free (2:02.63), and sixth in the 100-free (55.72).
The Union College swimming teams return to action on Saturday, when they host Transylvania (Ky.) and Bethel (Tenn.). Action gets underway at the Stivers Aquatic Center at 1 p.m.
