ATHENS, Tenn. - In her final tune up before next week's NAIA Region XII Tournament, junior Dudley McKenna placed second at the Tennessee Wesleyan College Invitational on Tuesday.
The Mt. Sterling, Ky. native posted a two-day score of 181 to take second, but McKenna was still 10 strokes back of Megan Cox of Tennessee Wesleyan who won with a 171 (82-89).
In Monday's opening round, McKenna struggled around the links, shooting a 96 which was still good enough to land her sixth overall. She picked up considerable ground on the leaders during Tuesday's final round as she fired an 85 to finish second overall.
McKenna will next represent the Lady Bulldogs in the NAIA Region XII Tournament on April 22-24 in Eufala, Ga.
