BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College women's soccer head coach Camila Mendes and track & field head coach Joel Childs have announced that Jordyn Wayne has signed her National Letter of Intent, and plans to join both Bulldogs programs in time for the 2014 Fall Semester.
Wayne has prepped at Meade County High School in Bradenberg, Ky. She is a native of nearby Ekron, Ky.
"We are excited about adding Jordyn to our program," said Mendes. "She is a versatile player. We will be able to use her as a midfielder or a defender. She is an aggressive player and will be able to help us win balls in the air with her athleticism."
"With Jordyn's expertise as a hurdler, she will be a great addition to our team," said Childs. "On top of that, she has a great attitude and work ethic, and I cannot wait for her to start her track career here at Union. We look forward to her being very competitive next year in the hurdles at the AAC Conference meet."
Union is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC).
