ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. - The Union College women's golf team finished off play at the 2014 Appalachian Athletic Conference Spring Championship on Tuesday, and the Bulldogs finished sixth as a team overall.

The event, hosted by Milligan (Tenn.), was held at the par 72 Elizabethton Golf Course.  

Overall, Union posted a combined score of 350 in the second round, finishing the tournament with a team score of 707. SCAD-Atlanta captured the overall title in the tournament, posting a two-day score of 669. 

Individually, Sydney Smith (SO/Greensburg, Ky.) posted an 87 in the second round, matching her first round score to finish in a tie for 14th overall in the competition (174 combined score). 

Elsewhere, Danielle Judd (SO/Louisville, Ky.) finished in a tie for 21st with a combined score of 176 (90-86), while Katie Nusz (JR/Mount Washington, Ky.) rounded out the top finishers for the Bulldogs with a two-day score of 177 (87-90) to place in a tie for 25th. 

The Union College women's golf team will return to action on Apr. 21, taking part in the 2014 AAC Tournament Championship in Kingsport, Tenn.
