KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Union College softball player Ashley Wojnowski (JR/Sevierville, Tenn.) was named to the 2014 All-Appalachian Athletic Conference Team on Monday evening, the conference office announced. The junior earned a spot on the team as a utility player.

This marks the third straight season that Wojnowski has earned a spot on the All-AAC team, as she garnered a second-team selection on the squad the last two seasons.

In 2014, Wojnowski played a variety of positions in the Bulldog infield and outfield. At the dish, Wojnowski was the teams offensive leader all season, ending the year batting a team-high .423 with 66 hits (also a team-best). In all, Wojnowski ended the year scoring 37 runs, while recording 22 RBI, as well.

Wojnowski also made some history throughout the year, ending the season breaking a program record with 10 triples. Matching the school-record for triples in a game on three separate occasions throughout the season (two), Wojnowski ends the regular season as the NAIA's leader in triples. Throughout the season, she also broke the school record for career triples, and now has 19 entering her senior season.
