BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College women's head golf coach Tony Carruba has announced that Lesley Roy has signed her National Letter of Intent, and plans to join the Bulldog program in time for the start of the 2014 season next month.

Roy, a product of Russell County High School in Russell Springs, Kentucky, will join the Union program off a successful prep career for the Lakers.

There, she finished fourth in both the Kentucky Senior All-Star Invitational and the Lady Titan Invitational, while also collecting a fifth place finish in the Lady Cardinal Invitational. Roy has also played in three Kentucky State Tournaments, and has won 3 SEKJGT summer tournaments, as well.

"I am very excited to have Lesley join our program," said Carruba. "She comes from a solid program in Russell County and will have no trouble adjusting to the college game. She will have a chance to make an immediate impact on this team and I look forward to helping her develop throughout her career."

Lesley, the daughter of Dean and Rhonda Roy, plans to major in Psychology at Union College.
