BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the bracket for the 2007 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship Tournament, and Union College will open up against Shorter (Ga.) College on Monday at 1 p.m.

The tournament, in its 27th consecutive season, will be played at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala.

Unseeded qualifiers to the tournament will play for a spot in the second round on Monday, May 14, with matches beginning at 1 p.m. and one match, Oklahoma Christian vs. Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), slated for 2:30 p.m.

Seeded teams in the tournament will take on unseeded first-round winners beginning Tuesday, May 15, at 1 p.m., as seeded teams include defending champion Auburn Montgomery (Ala.), followed by Fresno Pacific (Calif.), Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.), Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), Vanguard (Calif.), Azusa Pacific (Calif.), Berry (Ga.) and Brenau (Ga.).

If victorious, Union will advance to play No. 4 seed Lindsey Wilson Tuesday at 1 pm.

Auburn Montgomery begins its quest for a second-straight title on May 15 at 9 a.m. against the winner of a first-round match between Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) and Lee (Tenn.), with all other second-round matches beginning at 9 a.m. with the exception of No. 2 Fresno Pacific, who will take on the Oklahoma Christian-Olivet Nazarene winner at 2:30 p.m. on May 15.

Quarterfinal matches are set to begin Wednesday, May 16 at 1 p.m., while semifinal competition gets underway May 17 at 1 p.m. as well. The NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship match is slated for Friday, May 18, and will begin at 1 p.m. at the Mobile Tennis Center.
