BRISTOL, Tenn. - Senior Allison Fowler turned in another 20-point performance as she helped lead No. 2 seed Union College to a 76-67 victory over third-seeded Milligan (Tenn.) College Friday in the semifinals of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament.

The win sends Union (24-8 overall) to the championship game to face King (Tenn.) College, which defeated Tennessee Wesleyan College 79-75 in the other semifinal game. The title game is set for 4 p.m. Saturday.
Since King and Union finished the regular season as the top two teams with King capturing the automatic bid for the regular-season, Union will also receive a berth to the NAIA Division II National Championship Tournament regardless which team wins Saturday's title game.
The NAIA Division II National Championship Tournament will be held March 12-18 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Down 6-4 early on, Union embarked on a 15-4 rally to grab a 19-10 lead with 11:18 left in the first half. Milligan (18-14 overall) fought back and took a 27-26 edge with 5:34 following a pair of Heather Mandela free throws. After Union briefly reclaimed the lead, Kara Monk 3-pointer gave Milligan a 30-28 advantage at the 4:59 mark.
Union, though, closed out the period on a 14-4 surge to take a 42-34 lead into the break.
Milligan came out of the lockerroom and reeled off 10 straight points, grabbing a 44-42 lead following a Rikki Baughman bucket with 16:36 on the clock.
After some back-and-forth play, Union mounted a charge thanks to an 11-0 run in taking a 61-52 lead with 11:36 remaining. Susanna Todd (Eubank, Ky.) drained two 3-pointers during the rally.
