SAN ANTONIO, Texas – More Union College records fell Friday at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic Swimming and Diving National Championships. Two Union relay teams and a Lady Bulldog posted Top-15 finishes at the Palo Alto Natatorium in San Antonio, Texas.

The group of Colin McEachran (Blenheim, Canada), Michael Viscardi (Marietta, Ga.), Jeremiah Back (Flatgap, Ky.), and Adam Woodard (Hopkinsville, Ky.) combined to reach the 400 medley relay finals. The team qualified with a school-record time of three minutes and 55.46 seconds. In the finals, the group posted an even faster time, 3:52.86, for a 12th-place finish.

Mollie Messmer (Scott City, Mo.) finished 13th in the 400 individual medley finals. She posted a time of 4:57.26 to lower the school record she set earlier in her prelim race.

The Bulldogs posted another Top-15 finish when Back, Viscardi, Woodard and Karl Smith (Lexington, Ky.) The team posted a time of 1:33.29 for a 14th-place finish. The time was .66 seconds faster than the prelim time earlier in the day.

Back swam to a Union record in the 100 butterfly. He set the record at 56.55 seconds.

Kristina Kirk (Versailles, Ky.), Eden Ellison (Tamms, Ill.), Kelli Rogers (Elizabethtown, Ky.) and Messmer lowered the school record in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:42.19. The group also completed the 200-yard freestyle relay in one minute and 53.72 seconds.

After Saturday, the Bulldogs were 14th with 16 points. California Baptist was ahead of Simon Frazier (B.C.) University 382.5 to 356 atop the men's standings. The Lady Bulldogs ranked 20th while Cal Baptist and Simon Frazier rank one and two, respectively. Cal Baptist owned a 110-point lead.
