ATLANTA, Ga. - Union College head coach Tim Curry is one of dozens of coaches to receive the RUSSELL ATHLETIC/Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Victory Club Award, the WBCA announced recently.

The RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA Victory Club Award is presented to each WBCA-member head coach who achieves career wins of 200, 300, 400, 500 or more, in 100 victory increments.

"Over the past 50 years, RUSSELL ATHLETIC has been innovating women's sports. From the earliest women's uniforms to our newest Racerback jersey, RUSSELL ATHLETIC has been supporting women's sports where it counts - on the fields and courts of play. RUSSELL ATHLETIC is proud to honor the WBCA Victory Club award winners who are excelling in coaching on the court of play," Chris Passarell, Vice President of Marketing, RUSSELL ATHLETIC.

Curry recorded his 200th career victory on Dec. 11, 2007, when Union defeated Pikeville (Ky.) College 94-91 in overtime.

These accomplished coaches will be recognized during the RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA National Coach of the Year Luncheon presented by AstraZeneca on Monday, April 7, 2008, at Noon (ET) in the Marriott Waterside's Grand Ballroom in Tampa Bay, Fla. This event is part of the WBCA National Convention, held in conjunction with the NCAAŽ Women's Final FourŽ.

Union finished the season 25-9 overall and 15-3 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Union were AAC co-regular-season champions as well as the AAC Tournament champions, advancing to the NAIA Division II Tournament for the second year in a row. Union also ended the year ranked 25th in NAIA Division II.

Curry is the winningest coach in Union program history with a 125-104 record and boasts a 217-216 career record.
