MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. - The Union College women's tennis team, ranked No. 17 nationally, picked up a 9-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference win at Milligan (Tenn.) College Tuesday.

The win keeps the Lady Bulldogs perfect so far through 2008, Union moved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Milligan went to 1-2 and 0-1 in the AAC.  

Juliana Negosek (Curitiba, Brazil) and Yeris Vargas (Merida, Venezuala) won at No. 2 and No. 3 singles with similar 6-1, 6-2 scores. The two also teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles.

Union stays in the AAC with a home match against Tennessee Wesleyan College Thursday afternoon. The start time is set for 1 p.m.
