
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Union College men’s tennis team remains ranked 14th in the third NAIA Men's Tennis Top-25 Coaches' poll, announced by the organization Wednesday.
The Bulldogs ran their record to 5-0 and 2-0 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play with a 9-0 win at Milligan (Tenn.) College Tuesday.
Union lost three points from the last poll with a total of 152 points. The Bulldogs are three points away from No. 13 Berry (Ga.) College. The Bulldogs are the only NAIA Region XII and AAC team to receive votes in the poll.
Once again, Auburn University at Montgomery (Ala.) sets atop the poll with all 12 first-place votes. Two through four remained the same with Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical (Fla.) University and Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University, respectively. Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College improved a spot to slip into the Top-5.
Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) fell from fifth to eighth. Concordia (Calif.) University jumped from eighth to sixth while California Baptist University also moved up to seventh. Lee (Tenn.) University and Bethel (Tenn.) College rounds out the Top-10.
Next on the schedule for Union are two conference matches at home. The first comes on Thursday when Tennessee Wesleyan College visits for a 1 p.m. match followed by a Saturday match with UVa-Wise.
The next poll will be released on April 2.
