BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Union College women’s tennis team went to 19th in the third edition of the NAIA Women’s Tennis Top-25 Coaches' poll, announced by the organization Wednesday.

Union owns a 5-0 record, with a 2-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference record after a 9-0 win at Milligan (Tenn.) College Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs were 17th in the last poll released two weeks ago. Both Bethel (Tenn.) College and Northwood (Fla.) University jumped ahead of Union. Bethel improved from 19th to 14th while Northwood owns the No. 17 spot, up four places. Union collected 77 points, one more than Lee (Tenn.) University and eight behind Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University.

The top four teams remained the same, with Auburn University at Montgomery (Ala.) at the top. Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University, Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College and Vanguard (Calif.) University are ranked two to four, respectively. Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University went from sixth up to fifth.

California Baptist University starts the next five, followed by Berry (Ga.) College. Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.), Embry-Riddle Aeronautical (Fla.) University, and Southern Nazarene (Okla.) University rounds out the Top-10.

Oklahoma Baptist University was the only new team to this week's poll, at No. 25.

Next on the schedule for Union are two conference matches at home. The first comes on Thursday when Tennessee Wesleyan Collegevisits for a 1 p.m. match followed by a Saturday match with UVa-Wise.

The next poll will be released on April 2.
