BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Two Union College track and field athletes were in action this weekend, and one established a new program record and the other was just short of another one.

Scotty Barnes (Ewing, Va.) collected 4,297 points in the decathlon at the Clemson Relays. His efforts were good enough for a 13th-place finish and set the Union record.

Erick Coleman (Chicago, Ill.) traveled to the Austin Peay Spring Fling in Clarksville, Tenn., and finished fifth in the long jump. He leaped just over 21 feet and was within two inches to the Union record.

Union makes the trip to Atlanta, Ga. for the Emory Asics Classic this weekend.
