BARBOURVILLE, Ky.Kyle Hathorn has become the latest signee for the Union College men’s soccer team.

Hathorn was an outside back and midfielder at Conner High School. He was team captain and was named to the 17th All-District team in 2007. Hathorn played for head coach Kevin Crone and was honored with the team’s Defensive Player of the Year award.

"Kyle is type of student athlete we want here at Union,” commented Tyler Brock, Union’s head coach. “He is an ideal fit for our program and the college."

Brock also expects Hathorn to raise the intensity level at practices and games.

Union finished 2007 with a 10-7-1 record, the most wins since 2001. The Bulldogs also picked up an Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinal win.
