LONDON, Ky. – After the opening round of the Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate Tournament on Thursday, the Union College Bulldogs are 15th with a first-round score of 331.

The Bulldogs and 21 other squads are playing at the Crooked Creek Golf Club in London, Ky. The course is playing as a par 72 over a 6,933 yard layout.

Union was paced by Adam LaTulippe (Hamilton, Ohio) and Magnus Lundberg (Stockholm, Sweden) both started the event with rounds of 79. The Union duo is tied for 25th in the individual standings.

Sam Lee (Knoxville, Tenn.) added an 82 for the Bulldogs’ cause and the final score for Union came from Niklas Tidebrant (Gothenburg, Sweden) with a 91.

Only one stroke separates Union from Southern Wesleyan (S.C.) University in 14th.

In the team standings, No. 9 Lindenwood (Mo.) University owns the top spot with a team total of 302, 14-over-par. No. 23 Ohio Dominican University lurks one shot behind. No. 18 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College and No. 12 Campbellsville (Ky.) University are tied for third while No. 15 Malone (Ohio) College rounds out the Top-5.

Todd Suman, from Ohio Dominican, was the lone player to go under par Thursday, with a 71 in the opening 18. Three more golfers are tied for second at one-over-par.

The second and final round is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Friday morning.
