
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Tony Savicki, a Conner High standout, is the latest signee for the Union College swimming team.
Savicki swam the 200-yard individual medley and 100 breaststroke. In the Region 4 finals, he finished fifth in the 200 individual medley and added a sixth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke. His coaches at Connor included Shirley and Greg Millar along with Suzie Arbaugh. Savicki was a part of the Cincinnati Marlins for coach Tammi Karn-Morris.
"I am very excited about attending Union in the fall and making the step up to the collegiate swimming level," Savicki said.
Union head coach Rafael Forti commented, "he will be a great help on our sprint events." Forti also looks forward to him making a positive impact on the Union program.
The Bulldogs finished this season at the NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championship with a 14th-place finish.
