
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – In the fourth NAIA Women's Tennis Top-25 Coaches' poll, Union College dropped to 22nd, announced by the organization Wednesday. The Lady Bulldogs were 19th in the previous poll.
Union dropped three straight matches to Top-20 teams this past weekend which gives the Lady Bulldogs an 8-3 record. Union has already clinched the Appalachian Athletic Conference regular-season championship behind a perfect 5-0 season.
The only change in the Top-5 was Vanguard (Calif.) University and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College switching places with Vanguard third and Lindsey Wilson fourth. Auburn University at Montgomery (Ala.) remains No. 1 with Fresno Pacific (Calif.) University second and Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University rounds out the Top-5.
No changes occurred between sixth and ninth as California Baptist University is sixth, followed by Berry (Ga.) College, Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical (Fla.) University, respectively. Brenau (Ga.) University was the only newcomer in the Top-10 at No. 10.
Union is at Lindsey Wilson for a 3 p.m. match today.
